Innovation, integration, interoperability: these are the guiding ideas around which Finmeccanica's stand at the Paris Air Show has been designed. The aim of the exhibition is not only to display all of the Group's most advanced systems and products, but also, and perhaps above all, to demonstrate their interconnectivity in action. The exhibition has been designed in the form of five concentric circles, corresponding to the five demonstration levels, all interconnected amongst themselves. Each level gives visitors the opportunity to more thoroughly understand one of Finmeccanica's specific product areas and fields of know-how.
Moving outwards from the centre, the five "circles" are as follows:
1. Strategic Situation Centre
2. Simulation Rig
3. Stand
4. Static Area
5. Control Rooms
The Strategic Situation Centre lies at the heart of the network, in the central area. This centre manages all of the demonstrations and technologies, from the sensors to the system as a whole. The outermost circle contains three Finmeccanica Control Rooms, based in Rome, London and Washington. They are all directly linked to the network and can respond in real time to meet the specific needs communicated by the Strategic Situation Centre. Visitors will see not only what the Group does, but how it operates: live, in the field, in partnership with its customers, every day.
