ESSI&O (Electronic Surveillance System Indoor and Outdoor) ESSI&O consists of the bracelet, attached to the ankle of offenders under house arrest or on probation, and the surveillance base, which controls the "proximity" of the bracelet and the person wearing it. The ESSI&O may request finger print identification at any time, identification data are transmitted in real time to the Surveillance Centre, which can monitor more than one offender.
