This area of the exhibition shows a wide range of platforms and solutions to prevent, manage and respond to various types of emergency situation. Considerable space has been devoted to DRS products and technologies, which go well with those produced by SELEX Sistemi Integrati, SELEX Communications and Elsag Datamat.

Finmeccanica's offer ranges from highly reliable portable computers that can be used in extreme conditions through to target identification, continuous monitoring and integrated surveillance systems. It includes secure communication systems and SELEX Sistemi Integrati's Air Traffic Management (ATM) demonstrator, which allows for the complete control of ground movements at an airport. Finmeccanica's capabilities address a broad spectrum of scenarios and situations where
ensuring and maintaining security is the top priority.

Auto Detector - Car Plate Reader
 
The vehicle licence plate reading system is deployed in numerous applications, ranging from three thousand Italian Carabinieri and Police patrol cars to more than 350 police departments in the USA that use the system on a daily basis with great satisfaction. The mobile licence plate reading system provides police forces with a user-friendly support, control and verification tool because of its intrinsic features and design.

ESSI&O (Electronic Surveillance System Indoor and Outdoor)
 
ESSI&O consists of the bracelet, attached to the ankle of offenders under house arrest or on probation, and the surveillance base, which controls the "proximity" of the bracelet and the person wearing it. The ESSI&O may request finger print identification at any time, identification data are transmitted in real time to the Surveillance Centre, which can monitor more than one offender.

PSS (Patrol Support System)
 
The PSS system is used by Police Forces in integrated surveillance work to capture digital fingerprints live, check identity documents, photographs and vehicle number plates, and exchange information with Control Rooms. PSS units also incorporate GPS functionality to georeference for the data acquired.

S3I - Integrated video surveillance & Security System Solution

 
S3I is a security and surveillance management system that provides continuous and real-time images of the security status of any facility through the coherent integration of sensors, cameras and control software.

ET60

 
ET60 is a device designed for installation in vehicles to control electronic identity documents. It can verify personal identity in real time by capturing digital fingerprints live and matching them with biometric information stored in identity documents.
